I used to wear A-shirts (that's the right name for them)

Only when I have a fresh new Iberia haircut. It helps intimidate my opponent in case I have to get into a brawl. I can take off my tapout shirt so it doesn't get damaged and still get the point across that I'm not to be fricked with podnuh

We always just called them undershirts.
I wear them in fall/winter under a button down shirt for a little extra warmth. Especially if its not quite cold enough for a jacket or with a shirt and jacket if its not quite cold enough for a coat.
