Do you tip the pilot when leaving the plane?

They are standing there with full eye contact. Do you slip them a $20? Nod and keep walking? Say thank you for not dying?

Really? This is a thing? I mean, I suppose someone having your life in their hands deserves special consideration, but I have never seen anyone hand the pilot money.

Depending on the airline I would tip before take off

If you tip the pilot on Spirit before hand he might warn you to quietly and calmy get on a better airline before you plummet to your death in a plane that stripped out all the safety features to add more seats.

Depends on the flight and the landing. If we crash, I demand refund.

I usually buy them a few boilermakers before the flight as a thank you.

He's a known pothead. If he smoked less, he could fly like the rest of US.
