Just wait and see how many people vote against the unanimous verdict amendment just because everyone's telling them to vote for yes.

But how will you tell the difference between the people annoyed by the "Vote Yes" crowd and the people who actually do not like the amendment?

Then don't do it.

I don't understand you ultra conservative people (I assume you are, if you are not, I am directing this to those who are). You want smaller government until it comes to things YOU consider a "sin", then you want the government to do something.

Voted against it. Just another way for this corrupt state's politicians/government to reach their hands in our pockets to get their cut. Just go find a bookie like everyone else.

That's fricked up......so I can conceivable play in Orleans but if I moved across the 17th Street Canal I couldn't?????

Why could we not do this before????? I can play Fantasy with my friends on a hush basis , but if I want access to the big money leagues, well dammit the state wants a taste

Isn't this a parish by parish vote?

I believe so

Yes it’s a Parish by Parish vote but if it passes by a certain percentage it becomes a statewide law.

Pretty sure that’s the way I understood it.

Someone may want to confirm that

We can’t do it in Lousiana that’s the thing. This is for daily fantasy sports. FanDuel etc. it’s geo restricted and it’s bullshite. I hope to god it passes in Lafayette parish and if not somewhere close where I can drive and set my lineups.

It goes beyond that.

This is more about "fantasy sports" and whether or not people can play on sites like DraftKings.

Right now, its allowed in every state except for Arizona, Alabama, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada and Washington (state).

Obviously sports gambling is legal in Nevada, but it is illegal there because I guess it could hurt the casinos, but this is about having the freedom to do so.

Why should the government tell us that we can't use draftkings? I have no control over what the state government is going to do with the taxes generated from it, but I want the right to use their services.

I abstained from that one. Probably should have done more research, but I didn't understand the implications.

I'm voting no because the amendment itself is crap. I support all forms of gambling/sports betting, but the way this is setup is terrible with each Parish creating rules/regs for the companies.
