TBH, I voted yes on the principle of freedom, but the amount of advertising money spent by (I assume) big gambling interests gave me serious concerns.
Gambling is a toxic enterprise. Make no mistake about it.

I’m frustrated with the amount of older “small government” types that told me that they voted against this today.

Early numbers looking good. My question is if this passes, how soon before we can play?

Didn’t you lose a ban bet recently?

My exact question. It’s going to be passed. Wondering the same thing. Couldn’t find any answers myself

If it doesn't pass, go to the Play Store and get an app called Fake GPS and enjoy

Their is a direct correlation between how a parish voted on this amendment and how much I would like to live in that parish. I would never want to live in a parish that voted against it.

Rapides parish passed it 52% to 48%. This was close, but I wasn’t hopeful it would pass. Now when can I start playing fanduel?!!
Posted on 11/7/18 at 7:04 am to GeauxGoose
Is there a place to see what parishes passed it?

This kind of thing isnt about freedom. you essentially said you watch your son (as an example) stick his tallywhacker in a power socket knowing it will be horrible long term, but letting him do it...cause he "can".
Another poster said he voted for it but wants govt safety nets. That's stupid. If govt safety nets are needed then it's not a "freedom" issue as it affects others.
