This kind of thing isnt about freedom. you essentially said you watch your son (as an example) stick his tallywhacker in a power socket knowing it will be horrible long term, but letting him do it...cause he "can".

You let me worry about raising my kids to be upstanding citizens, I feel confident that this is way way down the list of things I’m worried about.

What else was on the ballot? Was it essentially to just allow the fantasy football apps? I have been playing here in Texas for a few years and I spend $3-5 a week of that. It’s not a big deal. If someone is a big time player and drop hundreds a week I have a feeling they were already figuring out a way to play.

Also are they really going to restrict it by parish? That is laughable.

It’s technically to allow Fantasy sports gaming of all kinds. Like having a ff pool was technically illegal or being in a surivor league...
But really it was to allow draft kings and the like.

Damn so we were such law breakers when I would get together with friends and draft a team.

It was never specifically forbidden. It was never specifically legal, either, so Fanduel, Draft Kings, etc. blocked Louisiana IP addresses out of caution until it was explicitly allowed or forbidden.

My exact question. It’s going to be passed. Wondering the same thing. Couldn’t find any answers myself

I read in the Advocate this morning lawmakers have to determine rules on regulation and taxes in the legislative session next spring before we can get started.

No that it’s passed. Draft Kings or Fan Duel? Which is better?

Fan duel. They are the only ones who seem to try and advertise since they tried to absorb DK and was shot down by anti trust laws

Completely incorrect, there's the issue of Bank Account billing address and paying taxes if you win. Not simply an IP address issue.
