It’s not just La, but everywhere. My gf has her clinical associates degree and it was almost impossible for her to get a medical sales job in the field that she has her degree in. Took her 6 months. No one would even look at her resume bc she didn’t have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Plant operators look through their Costa sunglasses, while driving their diesel pickups, in their newly constructed Acadian style homes at you college boys making 35K a year.

The difference is that college boy will have an opportunity to make 6 figures.

Costa diesel boy will always be uneducated, get raped on financing when they buy the 70k diesel they can’t really afford (hence why they sell them on Craigslist when oil goes down), then they get to go work a 12; sit there in those steel toes and press a button.... then one day they’ll die and that’s exactly what their life amounted to. Just pushing a button for the man for their 20$ an hour and some overtime that has to get approved by another uneducated immediate supervisor, whose only qualification over you is he’s shoveled that shite for a couple years longer. I’ve lived that life right out of high school and made the same amount of money that dudes who had been at the plant for 10 years was making.

Boss man knows you’re uneducated and don’t have the balls to go anywhere else.... hell, you can’t. Miserable life, knowing you’ll never accomplish anything career wise except to make money for a boss that doesn’t give a frick about you or your family. They’ll lay you off in a heartbeat to save some bottom line. They can then replace you at the drop of a hat if you get too bawtastic and want to bite the hand that feeds. Just sludge along... getting fatter...hope the company doesn’t have “lay-offs” because you have no other marketable skills. Get back to the trailer that costed less than their truck, hopefully not find some meth addict balls deep in their fat wife, crack open a butt-light, open the Tigerdroppings, then proceed to get offended out of insecurity when someone explains that there may just be a better quality of life than that.

Is all that really worth it for a trailer, a shitty Cummings, and Pigeon Forge once a year?
