re: Do you think human giants ever roamed this earth?

Yet none of you non believers can tell me where the complexity of the human body came from?
Much smarter people than me can explain this in great detail. However, a snapshot in 2024 is not as convincing as scientific trends in general since the beginning of time.
Here’s what I mean by that: Science has taken incremental steps for thousands of years. In that time, the scope of things we attribute to deities has shrunken. At one point in time people believed angry deities caused storms and demons caused diseases. Now that is ignorant talk to everyone. Scientific persistence found an answer that was once believed to be supernatural. It has happened many times.
Any questions that continue into 2025 are more likely to be answered later by science than by the supernatural. To date, there is not one single verifiable fact or event than can be conclusively attributed to the supernatural. Zero.
And some things may be beyond our understanding, and that’s okay too. We don’t have to have every answer. A bunch of cows standing in a pasture getting drenched by rainfall will never figure out the nature of rain because they don’t have the intellect to do so. But the rain is not supernatural whether the cows understand it or not. Similarly, we may never have all the answers to the Universe. But the history of science has shown that it’s ignorant as hell to say, “If we don’t know it today, God must have done it.”
Everything we do know collectively about the world and how it works is science-based. No one thinks Poseidon hurls tsunamis at coastlines.

Well if you think about it the body is much the same as a car the way it functions
Food you must ingest to survive going down the same tube you require to breathe is poor engineering and causes thousands of deaths in the USA each year.

Everything you just babbled about is completely irrelevant to the creation of humanity. Science cannot place a well thought out human body on this planet no matter what year it is. The fact that you are leaving this open for interpretation is incredible.
Thank you for showing me how dumb you are.

How do you know cows don’t have the intellect to do so?

I feel like your post is pushing people to Christianity

But faith starts as an idea that there is more to existence than just living and dying, and that there is something after that existence as well, and it evolves from there. It wouldn't be called faith if we knew for sure.
This all just describes a belief. Faith is an actionable extension of belief.
Faith is required for a belief that cannot be proven.
I believe that a car motor will start under certain conditions.
I have faith that my car will start now.
Belief and faith are not choices. I cannot have faith that my bicycle will start tomorrow.
Point being that if you believe in God, you didn’t choose to, and were most likely influenced. And that’s fine and all as long as God doesn’t punish you for your lack of influence. If Jesus’s sacrifice was truly a gift and not transactional, then all will be saved.

Well what’s funny is many animals today evolved from…dinosaurs. The shark, the chicken, the lizard. But no way we evolved. God snapped his fingers a 4.3 billion yrs later after he created earth and presto! Humans came. Why’d he wait so late? That’s pretty damn long time before humans existed that he created earth don’t you think? What was doing in the meantime? Cooking supper?

I would imagine somebody 6'7" would be considered a giant back then.
Humans were much smaller back then.

Yes, I don’t giants of yesteryear were 10ft -13ft tall and us humans all took them out of existence.

No matter how convoluted people describe their spiritual journey, they almost always circle back to the predominant religion of their family or culture.
You don’t see a lot of Caucasians in Alabama ditch Christianity to become Hindu.
Sure. There’s also a significant number of Christians who switch to Islam and vice versa. But how does that affect the veracity of any religion? It doesn’t.

I have been to dozens of countries around the world.
Oh. I see. Well, I guess that settles it.
quote:
Religion is a cultural thing not much different from the clothes we wear, the foods we eat, the languages we speak, and the sports we follow. You see this everywhere.
Ok. Again, how does this affect the veracity of a particular religion’s claims? It doesn’t.

Actually he is exactly correct and your comments indicate that you just may be the idiot in this exchange.
He probably borrowed that from black science guy, but he is absolutely correct…just like horribly deformed babies that have to be aborted, Siamese twins, etc…the deeper you dig, the more enlightened you will become

The point is that veracity doesn’t affect your belief of religion as much as your culture does.

False. That's something a shill would say. Who do you work for?

You’re a small brained moron. You believe in man, that’s why you’re methed up and on here arguing so hard.
You are a failure, so God must be a meanie. Wah.

Says the guy who believes in fairytales of an invisible man in the sky like Santa Clause who knows everything you do and judges you to send you to heaven or hell but he loves everyone lol
Posted on 12/31/24 at 4:39 pm to Methedup77
Can you prove the earth is billions of years old? You accept it on faith, no one can prove it.

So is your belief in God a choice? Or did God choose you to believe, like it sounds in the quote?
I honestly don’t know.

I can’t choose to believe in God anymore than you can not believe in him, or you believe in a different God.
Yeah. I’m really not sure. I can see valid reasons to support both sides of the argument. The one thing I am sure of, is that absolutely not a single one of us possesses omniscience. We are all, in essence, acting on faith. Do you agree? If not, why?

How do you “know” the God of the Bible isn’t real?
Posted on 12/31/24 at 5:20 pm to tiger2180
It’s over a million right? And humans haven’t existed more than 75000 yrs so he still waited a bit long. That’s proof enough?
Posted on 12/31/24 at 5:24 pm to LittleJerrySeinfield
Because the New Testament is is only comparable to the old in certain aspects. Everything else was made up. There are no factual documents to back up the New Testament or a loving merciful god. That’s the proof. God loves you and will send you to heaven just as he’s don’t with Gacy, Bundy, Dahmer and rest. Remember he loves us all. That’s what YOU THINK
