You already have a geriatric, embittered, dour, self-loathing worldview, so I doubt much is going to change.

I hope the baby is healthy.

I am a grandparent and I felt old before that.....and being a grandparent is a license to steal and piss off your kids

Congrats on becoming a grand milf. Unless you're unattractive, then way to go on the bigger family!!

Wait until the child is crawling and running around at warp speed and you have to keep up with him/her for a whole day. Give me an update then.

I laughed out loud at this. So true.

I've always heard it's great. The only negative being that when you become a grandfather, you all of a sudden have to lay down at night next to a grandmother.

Don’t pick some ridiculous name that you want to be called. It doesn’t make you sound younger.

I just found out. Felt old before, the only change after is the greatest feeling in the entire world. Can't explain it, but it's awesome. Different than having your own. All the joy, but none of the stress knowing you're responsible for the adults that they are going to become.

My mom kept our then 18 month old for 9 days when we were out of the country last year. When I called her the first morning without him she sounded like she had the flu she was so worn down from chasing his arse around for a week

I second the awesomeness of being a grand parent

All the fun and then load up on caffeine and chocolate just before you give them ack to Mom and Dad

I don't have any grandkids, but I did have a surprise baby last yr. I just turned 40, and he is 18 months. My older kids are 15, 16, and 19. I thought it would make me feel old, but it's the opposite. He keeps me feeling young. I think it has to be close to what it feels like to have grandkids. Looking forward to that day (hopefully still many years in the future).
