I ran out of gas once on 110 near Gulfport. Got out a walked to the next exit. Guy there drove me back to my truck with a gas can. We arrived to find I now had a flat tire.

We have people driving who are too stupid to figure out how to not run out of gas.

I don’t suffer from range anxiety because the tank in my car is so small, it pretty much stays at half a tank or less. It’s by far the biggest gripe about the Volkswagen Atlas- the 18.5 gallon tank. But I switched cars with my wife so we could save the miles on my Jeep for my daughter in a couple of years, and I just paid the car off, so I’ll just deal with it for a few years.

I drove from North Carolina to New Jersey yesterday. It ain't that hard to keep fuel in your car and you. Oh look, it's time for a break. Gas, bathroom, drink, snacks, repeat as needed until destination is reached.
This. Usually the range of my bladder is less than the range of my vehicle. And my wife's is WAY less...

On E you can still get probably 20-30 miles easily. Everyone knows their gas gauge. Have a 23 gallon tank, it was on e and only could put 19 gallons etc… And there’s gas stations everywhere and at worst you could get a tow truck, or someone, to bring you a couple gallons.
When you get to 0% in an electric car, that’s it, you’re calling a tow truck.
I don’t get range anxiety as much as ‘not fully charged anxiety’. That when you just drove around town a bit and still have 70 something percent but feel like you have to charge it to full (80% is full unless you’re about to drive it down to 80% or under).

I can see what he's getting at but range anxiety is the wrong term for what he's using as a negative for ICE vehicles.

What a twink.
I have the opposite called Range DGAF. When I get low I pull over and get gas.

Now I don’t worry about this at all. I never leave with less than 80%, and at most use half of it. On a rare big trip, all my stops are planned in advance for me. I know exactly when and where I’m going to stop. It’s just an easier way to live.
So you can’t plan a trip based on the many more gas stations than charging stations?

I drove like 70 miles in a 2011 Tundra after it said 0 miles to empty because I knew I had several gallons left.
Turns out, engineers know people are stupid and build in safeguards.

Ive had that like three times in my life and it was always driving in the middle of nowhere out west when you can go 50 miles without seeing a gas station.
Otherwise, LOL, I know how to fill my car up when the needle gets low.

My tundra has a 36 gallon tank. At empty i can put 25 gallons in.
