Appreciate it.

La Bodeguita is on the list. Will make reservations for that. We have a few days there (midway stop on a very long drive home) and never been, so looking forward to checking the city out.

a large multipage menu at a restaurant means they aren't keeping all of that food fresh for you.

Imagine a world where we have a small one page menu where they STILL don’t keep the food fresh for you

Now wake up and realize that is where you are now

it's nearly impossible to a large menu fresh.

a smaller menu means less food to keep fresh. the cheesecake factory is not a sustainable profitable business model.

And yet, here I was at a one page menu restaurant with frozen food

Wake up bruh. These businesses are cutting corners in the name of “quality”

The one or two times a year I go to Ruffino's I either get a filet or the cedar plank Redfish. I ain't about to drop $120+ for a meal and not like what I picked.

Same thing at Louisiana Lagniappe, I can't get past the Tuna Steak special they always have.

Now, why should I get some pasta alfredo bullshite I wouldn't pick even if someone else was paying for it for the sake of making someone have a diverse book style menu?

The word “I” was referenced 7 times in 5 sentences in regards to their menu

That’s my point. They are banking on percentages and selfishness to cut cost and shame others further advancing greed and laziness while opening the door to totalitarianism

We live in a society where truth is so hard to accept it’s labeled a “trolling” so the sheep can sleep at night. I hope you kept your pillow cool.

its pretty common now since it almost always leads to better quality food.

this isnt a COVID thing, its a change in restaurant expectations and has been this way in good food scenes far longer than covid.

unless you consider applebees fine dining, you should be ok with this trend.

This has been a trend since long before the tactical release of a weaponized virus from the Chinese lab in Wuhan.

Adam Ragusea did an interesting bit on the shift from choice to quality in restaurant menus.

Well, I'm paying, and I'm eating, so I'm choosing what I want.

You eat all the obscure stuff no one wants
