David Copperfield was the motherload. I remember trying to read it in 5th grade and couldn't get past the first few pages.

I remember that I had to get a ridiculous amount of points in middle school.

Something like 40+ points per 6-week time period. My other friends in nearby schools had to get around half of that.

Nerd. While you were off reading books and star warring, us cool kids were stealing porn mags and huffing glue. Your childhood sucked.

The Bram Stoker Dracula was worth a shite ton too.

I always liked reading. Finished in the top three from like 3rd-6th grade, some bitch always beat me though. I'm still pissed about that.

I remember you could read the Great Illustrated Classics version but then test for the actual one and get tons of points for a days read.

I would just read as many Amelia Bedilia books as it would take to surpass the minimum requirement. Jokes on them.

In my day, there were no internets. Insert the 3 1/2 floppy to launch the test program, and insert the 5 1/4 floppy for the book questions.

Hardy Boys were low points but you could read a book in a day or 2. Easy money. I can even remember speed reading and skipping chapters and still passing the tests.

You're right, but now you guys are used car salesmen, and we are OT ballers married to the cheerleaders that dumped you once they found out their life would be spent living in a mobile home.
