Really good coffee. I hate the taste of Keurig but it's convenient. I've been stuck on the Newman Organic choices for a month now, better than the Community pods IMO.

K cups do a great job for what you ask them to do, make one cup of coffee with little mess, as fast as you possibly can.
I completely agree that a nice full bodied drip coffee beats K cups every day and twice on Sunday.
I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old. I barely have time to shite In the morning much less make a cup of drip coffee.

I don't even like coffee and I just read all 5 pages. Damn OT addiction

I have young kids. If you are making more than one cup a drip wins all day everyday. Flavor and convenience. Had both. It isn't that hard to make a two cups for wife and myself and clean equipment.
If making one cup keurig wins on convenience alone.

Only coffee pot I've ever owned. Makes damn strong coffee.
best coffee I have ever tasted was made in one of these old-style drip type coffee makers.
far too much trouble for me to deal with on a daily basis though, so I use the keurig daily and like it pretty well.

Have you tried a blind taste test? I feel this is the only solution.

I have a Keirig in my office, and one at the house. If you buy the right types of k-cups, it can make a decent cup of coffee. At the house, I use a French press.
Overall, my favorite k-cups are the French Market Restaurant Blend and Emeril's bold/dark roast (don't remember the exact name).

I feel like the keurig is a weaker cup. I appreciate the convenience, but I've since moved on to a drip machine that can do variable sizes.

Mon-Fri it is K cups in the Keurig for me (Bob Marley brand). On the weekend, it is my grandpas old press he handed down to me.

Fresh ground beans every morning, drip coffee maker and metal filter = money

Seriously, try out the Aeropress. There are videos on youtube that show the easy way to do it and I add the water when it is around 180-200F and let it sit for a min and then strain. It comes out very nice. I like it better than the drip and can't stand the K cups.
Seriously try it out. There are baristas that prefer it to any other method including french press. I use it almost daily.

Depends on the coffee you buy. Dunking Dounuts sucks but Paul Newman Organic and Starbucks Pikes Place is good.

Boiling hot water into thin plastic, that's the reason I won't own a Kuerig.
Comminity thru my drip maker is pretty awesome. I rotate to another brand every so often just to keep the Community tasting great. I find if it's all I drink, my taste buds get desensitized to it.
Once lived with a coffee snob fanatic back in Washington DC days. She was from Seattle and had fancy coffee shipped-in from all over. Yet she would secretly sneak my $5 grocery store Community all the time. It's just plain good.

this is what i don't get. I never really had a problem with making single servings or two/three cups in a drip maker.
all it takes is a few minutes on google and little kitchen math to get right about of coffee to water.
At home, I am all french press or cold brew. I am not above a gas station or work coffee but when I can, I avoid it.
I think if you go the pod route, you should go with a nespresso.

French press is the way to go.
This.
We did a test after I got a french press as a gift. Made coffee from the same batch of beans in both the press and the drip maker. It was like they were totally different beans. The french press is infinitely better.
Unfortunately the french press doesn't have a timer and I'm frankly too lazy to do it every morning. I use it on weekends.
