Eating lunch at canes today and dropped 2 fries on the floor. Kinda wanted to ignore it and move on but had a lady staring me down so I picked them up with a napkin.

Do you pick it up or just roll with it?

Do I clean up after myself like a human adult? Yes.

I mean if I drop a couple of fries under the table I will probably just let it be.

One time out in the field, I think we were at Graf. As usual, it was really muddy. I was laying out my MRE on the front slope of the tank. This particular one had the chocolate bar in it, a prized find to be sure. After I’d eaten my entree, probably something like Chicken a la King if I had to guess, I went to enjoy my chocolate bar. But when I opened it up, I dropped the bar right into a mud puddle that was about ankle deep. The water had the color of coffee with a lot of cream. I didn’t even hesitate. I felt around the puddle, found the bar, shook it off a bit and enjoyed every last bite.

(Funny how the mind works, I could not tell you what I had for lunch this day last week. But I remember eating that damned chocolate bar almost 35 years ago.)

I’ll clean up a mess I made in any space. I’m not eating anything off the floor except from my house.

If it’s easy to get to, sure. If I drop something at a restaurant and getting it would require getting down on the floor, then no.

Indoors, yes. Always

Outdoors, situational.

I normally will pick it up because I hate to leave a mess especially in public.

I saw a guy today at Company burger get on his knees to pick up a single ice cube he dropped and I found that to be odd.

yeah, pretty simple. they have to clean the floors at restaurants anyway so i'm not going under the table.

I would’ve picked up the fries and put them in the trash. I was in the bath/locker room in my gym, water bottle hit the floor and it went straight in the trash. Anything hits a public bathroom floor and it’s obsolete.
