i would definitely be e-stalking the previous owners to see if they had kids or cps issues. After learning about the Turpin family from the OT, that would really creep me out.

I have ever since dad was out of the house. He wouldn’t let me lock or even shut my door until I was probably 16.

Had a next door neighbor murdered when I was 11 and that freaked me out. Heard all 19 gun shots.

I say that if someone is wanting to get to me, they’re going to have to make some noise breaking down the door to do it. I’ll be awake and hopefully ready with Mr. Smith & Wesson.

The first house I bought had a bedroom with a lock turned around to lock from the outside AND it had a peephole installed in the door.

To the OP we only look any doors when we are out of town overnight. I have told my wife when I feel like I need to lock a door then we will move.

Peanut (8 lbs.), Jax, (110 lbs.), and Tinka (120 lbs.) sleep in our bedroom.

We don't lock.

I religiously lock mine every night. I figure it’ll give me an extra second against an intruder.

Only time I lock the door is when I'm taking the skin boat to tuna town. I dont need these cockblocking arse teenage kids I have walking in on me.

Nope, don't even lock my front door and my truck keys are sitting in the console. I also have Xena (130 lbs) and Finn (140 lbs) on the floor next to me as well as The Judge (6lbs) in the drawer next to me. Oh...and I'm on 50 acres in the mountains in the middle of nowhere

So if they break into your house they can't break into a raggedy interior door? Got it...

only time my bedroom door locks...is when I do not want to risk the kids walking in and them losing respect for their mother.

My two Great Pyrenees who sleep at the foot of the bed would LOVE a late night snack so we don’t lock the bedroom or the back door.

Tinka is 1/2 GP and 1/2 St. Bernard. Good girl, but very tribal. Do not come around her "herd".
