I do not like the 8 foot ceilings that most FLW homes have. They were not the most practical of homes either in how they were laid out.

There’s an aggressive, ugliness, to his designs.
It’s as if he’s projecting hurt on the people who have the misfortune to walk past his buildings.
Rather than trying to elevate man through beauty, he’s dragging us back into squalor.
But that’s 20th century modern art. And leftism.

Looks like shite and says poor people, buy me. Only reason to put a garage in front a house is to pack in houses on top of each other with little to no lot size.

Good designs fit harmoniously with the land and inspire, or provide a sense of comfort.
That protrudes from the land, looks alien, and entirely out place. It’s unhappy.
It’s also cheaply built, and as with all those designs, doesn’t consider natural light.
And look at the ornamental roofs!
Form should follow function. Simple is better than complicated.

Well not all of Wright’s houses had short ceilings. Some of his Usonian houses had ceilings greater than 9 feet. Everyone can thank can thank Wright for the open floor plans of today. It literally only took 100 years for them to finally catch on. He was way ahead of his time.

The bedrooms in FLLW Usonians generally have pretty low ceilings. Around 7 to 7.5 feet iirc. The bedrooms are generally small overall as he didn't expect people to spend time in them other than when sleeping.
He was 5'8" so generally designed to his height as he felt that was perfect.
Had a tall client in Ohio, 6'4" or so, that he designed a Usonian for that looks odd as it's vertical proportions are off compared to others.

He's famous for being the antithesis of the architecture 101: form follows function. He's contrarian. The same reason some people like Colin Cowherd's opinions on sports.

Interior is lovely. In the right setting I’m sure they are nice.
Context is everything and modern architects love to stick a monstrosity in the middle of where it does not belong.

No but he did design a 71 story Hotel Condo building for New Orleans but the project was scrapped due to Katrina. It was a project that wasn't made public but the design was incredible.
