Do you know people that always have to end a sentence with the word "right"?

Hear this in meetings all the time and it's reaching pandemic proportions.

"We're going to accomplish this goal this week, right"?

"People need these reports, right"?

Drives me freakin' crazy.

It's a horrible habit. Drew Brees does it and it drives me nuts.

I caught myself doing it at one point and took a conscious effort for about a month to break the habit. Not really sure how it even started, but I was driving myself nuts.

To me it’s kind of condescending, like a way that one would speak to a child. Saying right after everything to make sure they follow and understand. Unnecessary when speaking to adults.

Lady Dinosaur was just telling me this past Sunday how the CMO at her company ends every sentence with “right”. I’ve honestly never noticed anyone who does this.

Had a neighbor who moved to N.O. from the east coast and she would end just about everything she said with "right".

I never got the reason for that. And like already mentioned, it didn't frost my nuts as much as the word "like" every other word when many young people try to hold a conversation.

After about 3 "likes" I lose interest in anything they have to say.

The farther north you go the more prevalent it becomes.

it's almost as annoying as the hipsters who use the word "So" to start a sentence.

As for using the word "right"?, I only do it when someone (like my customer service reps for my cable or phone bill) cannot give me a straight answer to a question that they know the answer.
