In HS there were several people who had a lot of athletic talent, but they were either not interested in playing sports or didn't have the grades.

Know of/knew a few people who others would die to have their drawing skills... They had without ever taking a serious art class.

I feel like I've got a gift as a country music songwriter and I'm wasting it by not devoting more time to it.

I knew a few people in HS that were good at football but refused to play for the school because it sucked. That's all I got

I'm a skilled debater and intellectually gifted, but instead of pursuing a career in law I started arguing with LNCHBOX. Now I spend the majority of my day arguing how long a dog year is.

I could hit high 80s in the 10th grade. Could have absolutely played college baseball if I would have stuck with it. Probably not LSU caliber.

Hell there were several kids in HS that i was better than that played college ball.

Not questioning that, just laughing at your situation where you couldn't hit worth a shite but pitched well. I know the feeling.

I tested very, very high on standardized tests through 7th grade or so, then my percentiles decreased quite a bit
