My friend the industrial engineer, can build/fix anything.

He devised a touch-screen mini-grow room 10-12 years ago. I helped him find sources for large scale purchasing of all the materials, we worked out a build process, my wife helped him with marketing ideas and was ready to build him a website, talked about patents, but the guy never would pull the trigger.

He would never commit himself to it. He could have made bank. Now he just sits at home and slams 8-10 beers every night.

I know an attractive young lady, who also is an extraordinarily talented model, dancer, singer, and actress. Can't say definitively at this point that her talent will be wasted, as she is still young and already recognized in some respects (featured on television as early as age 11). Unfortunately, she has a clinically diagnosed behavioral disorder and is narcissistic, impulsive, selfish, rude, argumentative, manipulative, and a pathological liar - particularly when she does not take her meds.

It will be interesting to see how far people will tolerate her for her beauty and talent before everyone has just had enough. I could see her becoming either a big entertainment star, or on the other hand ending up as an Instagram influencer, drug addict, exotic dancer, or porno megastar. These days maybe all of the above.

If he does want to pursue soccer, don't run track. The hips get locked in and it fricks everything up.

I'd say save the club money and find a trainer. There's bound to be one there somewhere. The training certification is a FIFA/CONCACAF license, not from the US. Player development is bigger than what team they play on. Are there any leagues run by Mexicans out there? Granted I live in AZ, but there are several. Fast, pretty high level soccer but recreational. Cheap.

Find that and play there, and get training on the side instead of dumping a bunch of cash on club stuff. I've been coaching club the last couple seasons and I'm done with the parents bullshite. I'm going to take my boys and several of their teammates and train them independently, playing with the Mexican leagues. When I have a solid bunch that I know won't bitch about stupid shite and waste my time, we'll jump back in to club.

My wife wants us to find him a real personal trainer to help him both mentally and physically and be effectively ‘on his side’ when it comes to decisions of sports, instead of the greedy coaches making them all.

No track? He seems to love the simplicity of it...compared to being the center-mid or QB. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NKBpWVrOnvE

Him kicking through a free kick... LINK I think the goalie, who is actually really good, expected a much different ball flight.

I wish we were around Dallas or Atlanta, just to have seen what could have been.

When he's old enough to know you spent all his trainer money on watches, he's gonna be pissed.

I’m no Obtuse, I wear one <$1000 watch every single day. Hell, I wear the same pair of jeans every single day as well...I don’t need a pants or watch budget.

Yep. Track screws up soccer, especially for a midfielder. That's a nice hit. Whatever his passion is, that's what he should pursue. If it's soccer, great. Track, go for it.

My wife made my kid run track to keep him busy, and it made a visible difference in his quickness, accuracy, and fluidity as a 10.
