I know lots of people with functional legs, but they like to just sit around on the sofa getting fat. Does this one hit close to home?

Not questioning that, just laughing at your situation where you couldn't hit worth a shite but pitched well. I know the feeling.

I was terrible. My career batting average was probably .150

Had a buddy in high school that was the best natural baseball player I’ve ever seen. He went to La Tec on scholarship, not sure if he even played in a game before he transferred to Nichols I believe and quit baseball. Both his brothers played college ball and one went pro. My buddy was better than both of them. He’s now an eye doctor in Zachary so he’s done well for himself, but 26 years later I’m still mad at him for quitting baseball.

Sounds like your mom is stuck in her ways.

I told this story before, but I was being recruited by MSU in baseball when I was 16. They ended up going with another kid in my area. Won the SEC championship a season or two later. I was lazy as hell. Ended up with elbow problems. Didn't have the work ethic to overcome. The only offer I got was a walkon at a NAIA school. And they didn't give scholarships.

Family member of mine set multiple high school records for swimming and receives full scholarship at a D1 program but quit the program the first semester.

LucasP had a lot of talent but no self-control. Could’ve owned this place one day. RIP

Me as a singer. I've known I was talented since I was little, just can't get past stage fright and have no desire to be the center of attention.

My wife and kids like it, guess it's not totally wasted.

I’ve got over a hundred songs and stories written and they just sit worthless because I don’t know how to bring them to fruition

This reminds me of a friend (he was actually a 3rd cousin of mine, but considered more of a friend).. Any way, he was an intelligent guy.. And in HS he had a facination with eyes. He did a science project on the eyes and actually won.. I guess it was state..

He probably put more into that project than he ever put into something school related. It will be two years in July since he died from an OD.

Now that I am thinking about it, that might be one of the worst (or best?) examples of someone having a talent (not sure if that's a talent) and completely wasting it.

First college roommate could play any song on the guitar just by listening to it. He couldn’t read a sheet of music either. I always wondered what would have happened if he would have tried to use that talent.

What scares you? I’ve always fed off the crowd.

If I know that i’m Bringing that energy then i’ve Nothing to fear. If I’m terrible they’ll forget me tomorrow and if i’m Great they’ll remember me forever,

That’s my problem. I know the tune and the sound but can’t make the notes sing.

You would have been picked up if true. I would have believed you had you not used hitting badly as the reason.

You can start by sending out copies to publishers, etc, etc.

You ever looked into self publishing?

Maybe look for smaller publishing companies that are looking for something new.

As for as the songs, go take a few days and go to nashville. You don't have anything to lose do you?
