I've never met an attorney that focuses on immigration. I just figured that lawyers are like prostitutes...no shame or morals and will do anything for money. Pay them and they'll argue anything for you.

I dont mind it for people who are American Citizens.

Similar to personal injury lawyers - they rarely go to court.
These immigration lawyers make the whole case such a pain in the arse, the legal system gives in. Squeaky wheel get s the oil.
This guy is in court all the time apparently. His dad said he even goes to Texas and LA for court. I had no idea.

I know a person who works in a “clinic” that deals with immigration. He says it’s mostly helping English As A Second Language folks fill out paperwork to renew and maintain their legal status. Sounds pretty boring.

I know a few decent people who are lawyers. A lot are scum, take my cousin for example.

Turns out illegals hire him to try to keep them from being deported. I dont see how that is even possible.
Some are seeking asylum for political or religious reasons. Allegedly they are being persecuted in their home country. They will come over on a tourist visa then try to stay permanently. Some abuse it and lie.

How do you know a person's legal status without due process?

Because their due process ensures your due process.

Doubtful. Nothing wrong with being an immigration attorney. There are a lot of reasons someone might face removal that have nothing to do with being an illegal.

Maybe you should turn off FoxNews.

Not only that, the legal immigration process is immensely complicated and expensive. Why wouldn't you hire someone with expertise to navigate that? My wife's cousin has a green card and it was worth the money to hire a lawyer to get him through the process.

Great. Why do you do this and how is it not damaging to the country by keeping these people here who dont respect our laws?

OP might be onto something here. I propose that any attorney whose client is found guilty of a crime should be charged as an accomplice. I mean, they defended a criminal after all

You didn't know there is such a thing as immigration law? I bet you didn't know we have immigration courts, too, with immigration judges. Of course, I'm sure you don't know that our immigration courts are woefully understaffed with both judges and support and is bordering on wholly dysfunctional. I guess you don't that the bottleneck in our legal immigration system is in the immigration courts where cases can take years to be heard. And, I bet that you don't know that a small little fraction of the tens of billions of dollars in the "Big Beautiful Bill" for immigration issues was earmarked for immigration court reform, and it capped the total number of immigration judges at 800, and since then we have managed to hire practically no immigration judges, with the total number actually decreasing per the last reported total.

You know there are criminal defense law FIRMS? As in multiple lawyers?
Sounds like we need some RICO charges in South Florida
