Dentists and doctors always did it for me. The soothing low voice talking while they are checking stuff always got me. I never knew what it was until a couple years ago when I stumbled onto a video of someone writing with a calligraphy pen. It was very soothing.
Did anyone ever get it real bad when you had a new teacher in school or a substitute? The first day was just an hour long "I'm about to go to sleep" session because this person's voice is new.

Those massage videos give me tingles, especially the head massages

Always thought of it as sort of the human version of purring. There's a couple of things I notice trigger it.
A. Another person must be present
B. that person is usually involved in doing something helpful or of assistance.
I always thought of it as a relaxing/bonding social mechanism and completely normal. Doesn't happen very often.

Very astute.

I sort of have it. If I watch people do certain things, I get sleepy and crash. Been that way my whole life. Just like watching Bob Ross paint. It like visual ambien for me.
No, that's not it.

I don't know if this is a legitimate phenomenon
This is a phenomenon? I often get a sensation similar to described in the OP when listening to music I really like. I always assumed it was me feeling enorphins being released.

Yes, I have this. Didn't know it had a name. My stimuli is something kind of weird. Any time I experience, hear, read, see anything involving the human body, especially something painful or "medical" in nature, I get a tingly feeling in my bottom (butt and vagina). It's not sexual really, but it doesn't hurt or feel unpleasant. It's just a really quick tingle/numbness.
Yes, I know I'm a weirdo.

I have it. Since I was a little kid....demonstrations of equipment or software works as well as these vids. I didn't know about the whispering trigger.

Damn. That nailed mine.
I told people about it but called it chills/thrills when watching a freaking vacuum or cuisinart demonstration.

Yes and I watch an ASMR video a few times a week to help me fall asleep. I sleep much better after watching a video also.. the whole experience relaxes me greatly.
My favorite ASMRtists (that's what the Youtube ASMR community calls them) are GentleWhispering and MassageASMR.
Haircut Harry and Nomad Barber videos also get the back of my head and my spine tingling pretty often.
Oddly enough, Baba does it too..even with all of the damn horns in the background. Here is Baba on Nomad Barber:

I always thought this as well.
It is a different feeling than after orgasm, tho.

IDK, but using a Q-tip is right up there with sex for me haha.
Also the back of the earlobe area if vibrated can be orgasmic

On the flipside, are there any sensations that you just can NOT deal with?
To this day, I can't tolerate someone using an emory board around me. Something about the texture and sound of that thing just makes me cringe.

The best ASMR experience I've ever had was a haircut. I'd let my hair grow out for a while, since I was just barely getting started in insurance, was in telemarketing and didn't need to see anyone in person.
Out of the blue I had a job offer but I needed a haircut and ended up at Wal Mart, because poor. The girl cutting my hair brushed it way, way, way too hard on my scalp, but it felt fricking amazing. I went back to her for the entire time she was working there. Didn't even care how trashy I felt getting a cut at Wal Mart. That weirdly painful ASMR was so worth it. I'd always ask her to cut it, then say "maybe a little shorter" like 4 times.
tl;dr, I'm a perv
Walmart has a barber shop?
