A commonly reported stimulus for ASMR is the sound of whispering
Do you have ASMR if whispering triggers intense rage and annoyance?
I legit can not STAND when people whisper. Drives me nuts for some reason.
Especially a female child's whisper. There's some commercial that I saw a day or two ago where the entire audio is a little girl whispering. I could not hit mute fast enough.

No. I think that falls under psychosis.

Did you check out my link? Her videos, especially the one with pop rocks, work for me about 95% of the time.

Note to self, never leave a female child with Kilroy.

Yes, I have ASMR from time to time. It's not very often, but it sure is nice.

I plan to. In bed right now and not searching out my headphones.

Idk what it is. I just hate the sound whispering makes. Sometime my gf will whisper to me on the phone when she's talking shite about her roommate or one of her friends she's with and I pretty much have to cut her off and tell her to either speak normally, text it to me, or let's talk about something else.

Bob Ross does it for me. A lot of times when I am having trouble sleeping I'll play some of his vids on YouTube.

I do love watching Bob Ross if I can't sleep. He speaks just above a whisper so it's soothing to me without being annoying.

"How was your day baby?"
"Pssst pshhhh pshww..."
"FORGET IT BITCH"

I can see that. The show "How It's Made" does the same thing for me.

Absolutely. How It's Made, Megafactories, etc are awesome to fall asleep to.
I actually went on a tour of the Boeing plant near Seattle (Largest building in the world btw). It was incredibly interesting and the guy leading the tour was great, but it was like a real life episode of Mega Factories and my pavlovian response was to go to sleep. Could barely keep my eyes open by the end of the tour.

I don't think ASMR is as uncommon as its played out to be.
I've gotten the tingle since I was a kid, and I can often "turn it on" with no stimulus at all. Maybe varying degrees, but I think many get the feeling

The best ASMR experience I've ever had was a haircut. I'd let my hair grow out for a while, since I was just barely getting started in insurance, was in telemarketing and didn't need to see anyone in person.
Out of the blue I had a job offer but I needed a haircut and ended up at Wal Mart, because poor. The girl cutting my hair brushed it way, way, way too hard on my scalp, but it felt fricking amazing. I went back to her for the entire time she was working there. Didn't even care how trashy I felt getting a cut at Wal Mart. That weirdly painful ASMR was so worth it. I'd always ask her to cut it, then say "maybe a little shorter" like 4 times.
tl;dr, I'm a perv.

No. ASMR videos cause physical pain in my ears. Hearing small noises like chewing, silverware clanking, etc gives me horrible headaches and will make my ears feel like they're bleeding.

Haha. Nice.
That post gave me the tingle. Going to sleep on it.

Seriously. Find a black girl fresh out of beauty school, or whatever it's called, and have her cut your delicate Caucasian hair with a cheap, fine toothed comb.
You'll thank me later. Or you won't, cause my hair did look like shite for the better part of a year.
