So much virtue signaling in this thread

Nope, and I generally consider it weird that people do. The only times I tend to see flags on people's homes when I travel internationally is in regional defiance, like Catalonian flags in Spain, etc. Americans surrounded by Americans flying the American flag in America strikes me as performative. But, I know people have their reasons, and I know some might fly it to remember a lost loved one, etc, so I don't judge it. Just kind of move on without much thought.

Yes. Not happy with the current administration, or certain actions and behaviors of the past, but I deeply respect the ideals set forth and sacrificed for.

I love when people think they are nonjudgmental.
We are all judgmental to a degree.

For example : I think it’s weird that you find it weird people fly a flag that represents the country you live in and reap the benefits of.

I find the general concept to be weird. I don’t judge the individual people who engage in the behavior. Not exactly a difficult distinction

Not limited to the US. I imagine if I’m ever traveling in China, or anywhere else, I’ll find flags everywhere to be weird as well. You just normally don’t see it

Nope. I see tons of national pride when I travel; just don’t see many national flags flying from private homes.

Yes. I have an 1812 US Flag displayed at home. My flag is from Fort McHenry and was flown at Fort McHenry. The National Park there used to sell these flags.

Nah, that seems like an act of aggression towards immigrants

There is one of these on display in our house. There's a purple heart medal to go along with it. My father-in-law was a POW in Korea for 36 months. Luckily he was one of the fortunate ones who got to come home.

My grandpa did the same thing but was in Korea around 2 years.

I sadly don't have an American flag at my house but I need one.
