Do you have a lot of friends?

Ron Swanson once said that one friend is enough. Maybe two.

That’s pretty much how I feel too. I know guys who have like a dozen people they hang out with and talk to regularly. Married guys with kids who still maintain good relationships with a bunch of people.

I don’t have the time or energy for that.

I have one friend that I'll go have a beer with occasionally. I have a handful of lifelong friends that I talk to a few times per year. Most of us don't live near each other and are in our 40s and married with kids.

i think people don't ever ask me to do anything b/c they just assume i already have plans with all my other friends.

having all these friends can be lonely haha

i could move some things around tonight if you wanna hang out

None of my friends live near me so it sometimes can feel like I have none.

I'm not married or anything so I'm sure it's different, but I still have probably 5 or so guys from high school who I'd consider my good friends. I also have at least that many from college. The friends I have now that I've met since moving out of Louisiana I'd say are not as good of friends as the first two groups.

I’ve got six friends that I will ride or die with when ever they call. After that the rest are just people I know and hang out with cause we usually end up in the same places with the original six.

IRL friends? Not many. Maybe a handful

I’ve got a bunch of friends online I play video games with.

Yeah I’ve got a pretty big group of friends, but we’re all mid-20s and most of us haven’t moved away yet.

No, and I like it that way.

I mean, I have "friends," in other words people I get along with well at work, and enjoy having a conversation with. But no one I'd socialize with outside of work. Not that there is anything wrong with them; I'm just a homebody and don't like to socialize much. I'm too busy with my family anyway.

You can never have enough friends imo

Same here. I think it bothers me some when I realize my son is getting older and wants more friends to play with. I don’t really have a friends group to call for play dates or anything as my close friends either live far away or don’t have kids.

Yes, over the many years of my military life I made a ton of friends. We don't necessarily talk every day or anything, but if any of them needed anything I'd be there for them, and I know the opposite holds true as well.

Friends that I hang out with all the time and such? No, I'm a married man with kids I'd rather hang out with my family.

Cuz you spend too much time running from your problems and failures at Stanford. I told you to fricking be happy and grateful for the life you have.

Cut back the running to 15 miles a week and get out to some fricking happy hours or bring the wife on dates and get drunk and frick her in the car on the way home.

The other day you passed up a good gig with a band b/c you wanted to feel good for your run THE NEXT frickING MORNING. You're not playing for LSU, who gives a frick how you feel for your run in the morning. Carpe fricking Diem, dammit! Write a fricking Poem and go out get drunk tonight.

God damn you're depressing me, fricker. And I'm poor as frick and fat but I'm a happy frickin frick.
