The other day, I noticed that they even dusted the ceiling fans.

I have my great grandmother's silver tea set sitting on the buffet in the dining room. It hasn't been polished in years because polishing silver sucks. We got home a few weeks ago after our cleaning lady had been there and she had polished the damn tea set.

That's actually pretty good for a weekly cleaning service + lawn service.

I figured $40-50 for a weekly yard cut and maybe $100-120 for a bi-weekly house cleaning.

It’s mostly me, but I have a lady who comes about once every 2 months to do the deep cleaning stuff. She ain’t hot, but she’s good at her job.

Yes. Wife and I both work full time and we have two small kids. We do our best to keep up but it’s too much. We have a lady come once a month and it allows us to have some free time with our kids. Worth it.

The wife said if I hired a yard guy I was also hiring a maid. Going from something that costs me very little per month to like $400-500 per month. frick all that

We both work full time but split the house work and I cut the grass. Saves a good deal of money.

We use to, she was cleaning the house when we bought it, the previous owner paid for a few cleanings for some reason, it was a friend of someone in my wifes family that we got the house from, so I guess it was a "gift". Anyway, we kept her on until we found out she was stealing mail... well the wife of the last owner sold insurance from home and she was trying to steal documents with information about the insurance customers. If she will steal mail to use info for fake ID's, what else will she steal? Now I have a teenager, but they do a shitty arse job of cleaning.

Wife and I both work. Have a cleaning lady and a yard guy. Days off are truly days off unless something is broken - can't recommend it enough if you're a dual income household.

Next step: Convince the wife we don't need to pre-clean for the cleaning lady. Probably not going to go well.

Does she come everyday? If so is it expensive?

Yes. We have her come every 6-8 weeks. Mainly to do deep clean. We keep it pretty clean, very minimalist in nature.

Yes. Bi-weekly to deep clean the place.

Granted she hasn’t been by over the holidays......

It’s a godsend with 3 teen boys who are like fricking chimps.

Had the yard guys but invested in the good electric yard equipment for my previously mentioned chimps.

We have a lady clean twice a month. We both make enough money to afford it.

We have one that comes once a month and "deep cleans". We own a company and my wife works 50 hours a week. It helps with keeping the house clean and I get special attention time for it. Win/WIN

ETA: we also have a yard guy, because I loathe yardwork

Yes, it's around the cost or a little more for paying a lawn guy. I'd rather cut the grass than clean the house. Seems no one around cuts their own grass anymore.

Yes, she comes every other week and spends 7-8 hours here. She is great and worth the money.
