Give them time and show them that you are truly sorry. Don’t repeat the behavior. Try to understand why they can’t forgive you. That may help you gain some closer.

With everything that has happened this year things were tight. My kids knew this and said that they didn’t want any gifts this year. They only wanted to watch Christmas movies, make the ornaments like we always do, and make fudge.

It takes a lot of time, thought, effort, and usually money for some of them. Yes, there are some absolutely pointless ones. If I have ever made a gift it was something I thought would mean something to the recipients.
