Do you have a “best friend” (not spouse)?

My best friend is definitely my hubby. Is it a thing for adults to have a non spouse BFF?

Friend?
What's that? Married with 2 kids and a ft job.

A spouse is not supposed to be your best friend. I think that’s weird. But I think saying “hubby” is weird too.

Thanks for making me realize how instrumental it has been to me.

I have a few who I consider my best friends. We don't get to see each other often but we have a group chat that stays active. We try to get together one or two weekends a year.

Not everyone married their best friend. Is it wrong to have a friend?

I've got about 4 really good buddies that I hang out with regularly, 2 more very good friends out of state that text weekly with funny stupid shite and one of my brothers is one of my best friends.
I love my wife but I think it's healthy to have friends and regular interactions with buddies

Yes and we’ve been friends for 40 years.

Depends what generation you are from

every man needs a male friend that would run out into traffic for him. That’s your best friend. Spouses are on a whole other level

I have a few. I've known them since I was 4. I've known her since I was 22. We all do less stuff together and live in different places now and some of us have kids, but when we do get to do stuff it's like there never was a break.

I have one that I’ve known since elementary. Rarely see him anymore though. Text daily though, just shooting the shite.

“My best friend is definitely my hubby.”
Hate to break it to you, but you are not your husband’s best friend.

Yes and it isn’t my husband. I have known my best friend for over 20 years.
