Kids birthday parties are the fricking worst

Don't get me started on parties where you only know the parents of the kid and you're going to have to entertain yourself for 2 hours

You seem angry.

Stop trying to act smart. It's really not fooling any of us.

I’ll be honest I probably wouldn’t. We don’t throw big bday parties for our kids, we are boring and I work too damn much and we already got 4 kids to deal with all that. Ours is usually pizza and a cake at home and our kids have always at least pretended to enjoy it. When it comes to our kids going to other’s parties I just drop them off with a present and then come back and get them.

I’m too awkward and I’d just make all the moms uncomfortable anyways, and wife isn’t like that but she usually dealing with work in the evenings or we still got the other kids to deal with so she doesn’t go either. In a nutshell we are just pathetic parents and I accept that.

I haven't seen a party invitation since

I used to do that but the moms would all judge me for leaving a car seat on the curb outside their house.

Hey, if they don't want you staring at their tits, they shouldn't be breastfeeding.

I’ll go from time to time but understand why some guys don’t want to.
If it’s a crawfish boil or pool party with close friends it’s fun for all.
It’d its your wife’s friends or conworkers then nah I’m probably sitting that one out.

A grown man shouldn’t be expected to go to a kid’s birthday party unless it is his kid or grandkid.

Not no, but hell no. I don't do kids birthday parties, but then again I'm 66 and no longer have little kids running around the house.

When I had little kids I did manage to make just 2 if I remember right and that was enough to convince me to not do it again.

To me, it's like going to baby showers, and that too is a big NO from me.

I thought this was part of being a good parent? I'm pretty sure I'll be attending in the future, unless I have other prior engagements.

I don't have kids yet, so my wife and I typically skip our friends' kids' birthday parties, unless we are really close with them.
