More for me. Even had my hormones checked…all good. I chalk it up to a lifetime of holding shite in. I don’t even kill bugs if they’re outside my home now…just don’t want to hurt anything anymore. I lost a beloved family member recently…it hurt bad, still does. I’ve lost a lot of people over the years…some tragically…but it hits different these days. Strange…I’ve never been know to be Mr. empathy, but here we are.

I started TRT and would kinda like to get back in to boxing. I would get beat up pretty handily but the thought is there, it wasn't before. Maybe it's hormonal.

I have gotten more emotional about family
I have gotten less emotional about everything else like LSU football

Not really as I've aged, but most certainly since I had a kid though. I find myself tearing up at shite on TV all the goddamn time now, when I never used to do that. For example, I have to mute or change the channel when those St. Jude commercials come on...I can't make it through those without crying.

Less emotional...much less. More passionate over a handful of things

I think this is common?

Yes…. I find I have a lot more empathy for people going through stuff as well.

Paging whit to see how he’s doing. He’s probabaly still trying to process the trauma of that event. I started a new job recently and was afraid I was going to pull a whit when introducing myself to the team. That event gets in my head everytime I have to do public speaking.

Testosterone naturally declines and estrogen can take over.
The ratio gets out of whack.

Maybe lower testosterone higher estrogen causes this.
All the way to the bottom of page one before someone suggested the obvious reason. As men age, their testosterone tends to drop.

It still stings thinking about it

Somewhat strangely, sports make me more emotional than they did when I was younger
Like when Tennessee beat Alabama a few years ago, that got me. Seeing 90k people lose their minds at the same time can be powerful

I speak in front of groups all the time and I’ve never even came close to doing that again

You get more emotional with higher testosterone. That's why most of us lose all different types of emotion as we get older.

If emotional includes fussing at bull, that's me. Especially at work.

I wouldn’t say I’ve become more emotional, but as I get older and think back on family and friends who have passed, and realize I’m well past the halfway point of life, I do find myself feeling a bit sadder with age. Things seem to hit a little harder now, maybe because I understand what I’m losing more clearly than I used to. At the same time, I’m calmer, rarely angry and seldom overly excited, so in many ways I’m more even keeled now.

I just wasted 45 minutes of my life looking for the original post. Couldn’t find it.
