Do you ever use “baw” or “padnuh” in regular conversation?

All of the above but only in jest so I guess not in regular conversation because I have intelligence but not when I write run-on sentences.

Baw is a joke on the board but I have family is Raceland that just speak like that in general so when they mean boy they say baw. Everyone from the little kids to the grandmas.

The times i say padnuh, ace, slugger, Tiger, big guy, champ, it’s because I’m not attempting to be nice.

Every so often, i will have some a-hole call me one of those names and i will call him one of the other ones back and the look on their face is pretty great. Especially slugger or champ.

Me and my cousin call each other baw because it’s how paw paw sounded calling us boy.

I say fixin all the time and reckon and yonder sparingly. I miss hearing my grandparents use them all the time, tho.

I never use words like baw, sha, padnuh, or yonder. Not even when I am leaning into my southern accent.

I have a very boring and non-specific dialect.

Someone at work calls me “boss”. I can’t tell if he is trying to say that I am bossy or if he spent time in prison.

Actually, never heard the term "baw" until I started hanging out on this board! Never in real life. "Boss" is pretty common.

"Podnuh" was much more popular around 30 years ago, to the same people who called everybody "jack" around 1970.

No, but I catch myself saying "bruh" more than I should. It comes from years of working around oilfield trash.
