Oh yes, and God forbid all the best lights are on one kid's side of the car.

Yes, even as my kids are teens, we still love it.

We even still go to the parks down here to see the lights and visit a few of the pretty hotels as well as Fulton Street.

I need to take the kids. Anybody have any recommendations of any of those houses that are synced with music worth driving to see?

Whack Tacky Tour of Birmingham

My wife took me on this once. ONCE.

It's a tour of all the Clark Griswald houses in Bham. They put you on a little shuttle bus. You can bring alcohol on board and they stop at a local restaurant so you can get a couple of drinks as well. The tour guide played Christmas music the whole time and lead the bus in singing. They stopped at some of the houses and allowed you to tour the setups.

I thought I was going to die or possibly kill someone.

There's not a chance in hell that I am getting that put up or down without Clark Griswald'ing myself. Would definitely hire a crew

My little guy is too young at the moment but I can't wait until I get to start the tradition with him. It was one of my favorite things to do with my dad.

I live in a neighborhood that has a lot of them, so please stop doing that. I want to get home some time this week.

Every year, kids enjoy it. Last year we picked up Sonic after Christmas Eve service and drove around. Probably make that a tradition now.

I could be wrong but I think that pic is from AC seniors crib. Which has since been demolished and lights donated to Laferniere

I know Jr built his own mansion on the same lot but I haven’t seen his Christmas display yet
