What's your financial status? I'll let you know if it's a match.

Cargo shorts with either a t-shirt or cheap non-brand Polo-type shirt (both from Sam's Club). Tevas or Brooks shoes. Silicon wedding band and Timex Ironman watch. I also drive a 21 year old car. Not wealthy, but I pull down 6-figures and Mrs. Tantal pulls down twice that. I'd rather invest and pay off debt than impress others with my clothing and car.

Nope

Shorts and t-shirt most everyday.

If we go somewhere nice, I’ll “dress up”.

In Summer I’ll wear swim trunks and swim during the day since I WFH.

I get my clothes from Costco, so yeah. I guess my dress matches my financial status.

You probably wear jean shorts, high socks, new balance, white tshirt with some sort of design on it, tucked in. And tinted safety glasses.

I feel like I hit the nail 100% on the head.

Why? I sold my Yamaha jet skis to a guy who looked just like that out by freds

During the week, shorts and a t-shirt. I keep a polo by my desk for zoom calls.

During the weekend, shorts and a t shirt at home, polo and slacks if the wife wants to go somewhere

My grandfather had weekday farmer overalls he wore and he had Sunday/Church overalls he wore to church, with a white short sleeve shirt and a tie.

Have marriage related relatives, where the husband's father showed up at a Mercedes dealership one day and was walking the lot in his dirty overalls, sort of "Kicking the Tires".

One of the salesmen finally tore himself away from the air conditioning and rambled out to where the old guy was looking at a big fancy diplomat level car. The salesman talked down to him for a minute or two, talking about what an exceptional vehicle the Mercedes was and what a fine car to drive it was.

Eventually the old guy asked what he would need to pay to buy the car. The salesman asked how much of a downpayment the old guy would be able to put up, and received the reply, "None. I always pay cash for the cars I buy."

He quickly became the salesman's best buddy. An hour later after a lengthy negotiation with the manager, he purchased the can and wrote a check, which was verified as good, with a laugh, when the manager called the bank.

Because I'm married. The clothes that I wear and car that I drive aren't going to get me any more (or less) arse. If I were in the dating scene it might be different.

Absolutely not. I wear what I like. Wrangler Jeans, old Justin boots or old sneakers and a gameguard shirt about 4 days a week. Usually wear an Astros or LSU polo on Fridays. I try to keep the polos fresh. Buy a new one every few years.

Weekends I wear gym shorts and a t shirt. Maybe break out the khaki shorts and a polo on occasion. I live in an area with some pretentious people so I definitely go out of my way to not get caught up in the fancy trending clothing. Guys who care about expensive clothing are soy not as they come.
