I do this, too. I can't understand why so few folks will have trees / natural areas in back corners of their properties.
If nothing else, it cuts down on the amount of yard you have to keep up every weekend.

I cut and edge myself. Almost acre and I do it with a 30" push mower. I have a guy that does fertilizer etc for me. For what he charges, it is basically what I would pay for fertilizer.

Oh yeah. She good.

I cut it. But use a service for weed control and fertilizer.
A man should cut his own grass and wash his own cars.

frick No. I like those cross cuts line in my guy does. Plus weed eating, blowing off grass... it would take me 4 hours to do what my lawn crew does in 45 minutes for $40. My time is worth we’ll more than $10/hr

I have almost 6 acres. Minus the pond, house, barn, shed and a few other things, I probably cut about 4.5 acres. I use a commercial series zero turn. Things are set up so weed eating is minimal. Sometimes I let some of it grow wild, but not usually. I don't bother seeding and fertilizing any of it.

I cut my own yard. The moles do a good job of aerating it. The weeds to a good job of keeping the dirt in place.

Yes. Also installed every shrub, tree and blade of grass. Would trust no one else to manicure my yard but me.

I do the back, have a service for the front. So I'm half OT baller/lazy and half OT poor/Badass.

I have two acres and do it myself because I enjoy it. Throw on some headphones, listen to podcasts, have a couple of pops and zone out for 2 or 3 hours.

I do now, but only until the ZTR I have now craps out. I have four acres to cut. By the time I pay the note on the mower, maintain it, buy gas, and consider the amount of time it takes, I'd be better off paying someone else to do it.

Yes. His name is Nathan. I pay him well.

Nope. I got people for that.

I got a Hustler and five acres. Takes about three and a half hours. I only mow in the spring and early fall. I hire a kid to mow it in the summer.

There is absolutely no reason to seed with bermuda every year. Help me understand why you would do this.
Posted on 9/30/17 at 3:41 pm to TechDawg2007
No, Mexicans do it for me and they do a great job.
