Cut the grass, aerate, seed, fertilize? I just got mine aerated and will do the seeding and fertilizing myself. I plan on getting it aerated twice a year and doing rye grass in the fall and Bermuda in the spring

Closing on a new house on an acre and a half here in south Florida. In the market for a riding mower this week Going to have a pro look at it first and give me some advice because it is a bitch to get the amount of water right down here. Grass lives year round here and just bakes in the sun.

Bermuda will turn brown in fall and winter. That’s why I overseeded with rye. Then in the spring I will seed for Bermuda and let it take over. I’m not a professional lawn baw, but I’ve talked to a few people who are

I have an acre and I do it all. I leave much of it wild and only try to control the areas near the house.

This. Who the hell wants to help their grass grow only to have to cut it more often?

Acre and a half
The American dream, right? I used to be like that. But then you have to buy the $8,000 mower and spend most of your Saturday cutting grass. I've cut enough grass in my life, and several years ago hired a lawn service. Never been happier. Lawn guy is a UL student and a real go-getter. Really glad to support this guy. He cuts my next door neighbor's yard same day as mine. Win-win.
