No.
the Nicene Creed confesses the clear biblical truth that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, is "of one substance with the Father." This central article of the Christian faith is expressly rejected by Mormon teaching — thus undermining the very heart of the scriptural Gospel itself.
In a chapter titled "Jesus Christ, the Son of God: Are Mormons Christian?" the president of Brigham Young University (Rex Lee, What Do Mormons Believe? [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 1992] summarizes Mormon teaching by stating that the three persons of the Trinity are "not ... one being" (21), but are "separate individuals."

Grim isn't a believer. Which makes this a strange thread for him to start.

I consider other Christian denominations Christians.
Mormons are NOT Christians. Nice people, just not Christians.
They beliefs do not line up with basic tenets of Christianity (beliefs that Catholics and Protestants share).

I think they recognize themselves as Christians, but I guess they would be a sub-category of Christians..
You have sub categories within religions and the religions themselves are subcategories of the type of religion they are... It's hard to keep up with who is what and why.

I just read on wiki that they consider themselves Christians, but because they don't accept certain Christian views Christians don't consider Mormons Christian.
Now I am interested in knowing more about it so I will read more one day when I have extra time to do so, but in summary. What do the Mormons not believe in that makes them not Christian?
Posted on 2/7/18 at 5:29 pm to Grim
Yeah, sure. If we consider protestants Christian then we can consider Mormons Christians.
