I remember Pyramids. It wasn’t around for a long but I spent quite a few Saturday nights there in the late 90’s.

No. We need to keep our heritage of dirty neighborhood bars. We thrive on places like Gennaros, mamas place, the bay, jiggers, and lamplighter.

When was the last time anyone under 50 went to those places?

Went there one night in the mid 90s around 2 am and I saw a cop in the parking lot walk over to a car and was about to tap a window on a car. He put his night stick up and walked away just laughing. We walked by the car and there was a dude in there aggressively getting serviced by a really good looking woman orally. Guy laid back in the driver's seat turned his head and just smiled. Cop says, " What I'm gonna give a guy a hard time for getting a blow job from that?" As he points to the woman getting out of the car.

" I ought to be asking that guy his secret."

We bought the guy and the woman a drink.

In the late 1990’s/early 2000’s, the “who is who” of Metairie could be found at a special place in Fat City

Spent many of Sat nights/Sunday mornings there in the early-mid 90’s

Holy frick. Was this the place with the Asian twin brothers that owned it?

Looked like Harry Lee. Someone has to remember that place.

I can't speak for Mama's and lamplighter, but the average age at the other 3 is usually in the 30's and 40's range

You're a decade +/- late for Fat City's high water mark. Coke was on the way out in 99-00 and you couldn't possibly have the proper Fat City experience without it.
