Cybersecurity is way more critical these days than police. Plenty security professionals keep your data safe in their boxers and a T-shirt on their couch.

I get where you're coming from, but if any more of my data manages to get compromised I'm going to be out of data to get compromised.

Can't catch it all when there are millions of attacks a day from all over the world. We still have power, water, and a functioning modern society, so I think it's going pretty well.

No. He is saying jobs that can be done from home, don't really need to be jobs. Those positions could be trimmed if companies want to cut fat

I work in IT and don't currently work from home, but I have done so before for years. There are people that are developers for Microsoft, cyber security engineers at Cisco, Azure/AWS experts etc that are pretty much 100% remote. A lot of those people make bank too working from home.

It is sad how boomers voted to destroy our economy so we can’t all have fun factory jobs and we have to rely on slave labor to make all our stuff

Think how much better work from homers sense of self worth would be if they worked a shift at the factory every day and then got into the studebaker and drove down to the bowling alley.

These threads are almost always started by some fat dude who sits in a plant all day.

Agreed.

If my company and me have a working arrangement, what does that matter to you?

This sounds more like jealousy seeping through.

You think WFH people sit at home all day?

I went to the gym, picked up groceries, did some christmas shopping and even played an afternoon 9 after a practice session on the driving range.

most jobs dont contribute to society, they contribute to their employers bottom line.

That you started this thread under the premise they should justify their job says more about your insecurity than anything about people who WFH.

The fact that you said healthcare and not nurse or physician means you're some leech admin who's only existence is to slow things down and cost more money.
