Those aren’t the Joes you need to convince. It’s the O3s and E6s.

We can replace 250k of them with 500k drones
A carrier air wing has about 100 pilots/co-pilots. Yet, it takes a ship full of 5,000 people to support them (and the boat they ride on.) To protect that ship takes another 7-8 vessels in the carrier group, with another few thousand people. Not to mention the oilers, supply ships, etc., that aren't counted in that group.
You must be one of those dumbasses that thinks AI and drones can do anything.

I for one appreciate some AM cranky frickery, it sets the standard for how I'm going to go after people for the rest of the day.

How many get out and claim disability for irritable bowel? Or PTSD from the firing range?
From my experience, 99.99999999% it’s sickening. If the average hard working American finds out the corruption going on on in VA disability, there’ll be riots.

We have so much technology you really don’t need that many for war.
That was pretty much the thinking before Vietnam and Iraq too.

Most Americans are ok with veterans getting whatever they can get.
You want to die on a hill? Tackle the waste fraud and abuse in the welfare department. Once you tackle that we can talk about veterans.
At least they did something for whatever benefits they can get approved for.
Also you must not work anywhere around the VA system if you think it's that easy to get anything out of them without almost a court order.

I'd also add Medicare/Medicaid fraud.
It took me 15 years after military retirement to get my 100%. And that was with over 35 years active and reserve service and the Doc telling me when I retired and documented it in my retirement physical that I was no longer medically qualified for military service.
I have three high school classmates that I know of that are also at 100%, two of them served in Vietnam and had big time Agent Orange exposure. The third was a long serving Air National Guardsman with lots of short active duty stints whose body got worn out with over 35 years service.

Absolutely no one has issue with combat related injured vets getting everything they are due.
The vast majority are not combat related. Everyone i served with is on the train, none did shite worthy of VA disability. I did two deployments, but was never in real danger or did anything rigorous, that applies to most Airmen.

I'd say so. However, "active" and combat ready are completely different things.

These next 3+ years are gonna be tough for you, Alice.

So what.
They like you joined when they did not have to. That service alone is worth something.
There's 10x more people abusing the systems that have done zero to contribute to this country.
Start there.
