Direct snap run or throw...mostly direct snap runs. He’ll be a WR when he gets older.

I don't know about most women, but my wife would probably cut me if I offered to 'upgrade' her engagement ring and wedding band. She went through a lot of work with a local jeweler to custom make it just how she wanted it.

I have my dream ring, so I have no interest in changing a thing. I’d rather get a different piece of jewelry (earrings, necklace) than upgrade my existing ring.

I originally got my wife a .75ct ring when we were married 21 years ago. For our 10 year anniversary I got her a 2ct ring that she loves but only wears on certain occasions maybe 5 times per year because she is so attached to the original ring.

Ehh...i think my wife would rather have new furniture over a bigger diamond...especially now that the kids are past diapers/spilling absolutely everythingb etc.

Then again i got married later in life and established in a carrer.

My wife is of the same opinion. That ring, the one she wore during the ceremony signifies the bond. Another ring is just that, another ring. My ex wife upgraded her ring twice in the 9 years we were married....wished I knew then what I know now!

My wife wanted one ring. She got it, I got her a wedding band that matches. Since then it's been useful stuff, board games, and video games.

Many of today's "traditions" were started by retailers. The diamond industry is the one that actually started the "tradition" of buying a diamond ring for wedding rings. They are also the ones who set the whole "spend 3 months salary" thing.

So I guess the next thing will be upgrading your wedding ring. As men, this is something that can be stopped before it gets started.

Get something engraved in the original, make her think that ring is fricking irreplaceable. Or even better, for those not engaged yet, start selling the whole "diamonds are complete bullshite. Let's do something different".

I mean I gave my wife an anniversary band that matches her original set for our 10th. But it didn’t replace or modify the engagement ring. Any woman that wants an “upgrade” to the ring that you probably had to scrap together to save up to pay for at the time is truly a piece Of shite

Sadly a lot of women do. Love shouldn’t need a diamond.
