I think TV’s over the fireplace are ghetto

I don't know about ghetto but I don't care for this either. The TV should be eye level. I refuse to hang mine high up on the wall.

I first saw the TV on the FP on MTV’s Cribs and it was usually gangster looking rappers.

So I guess I should have said Gangster.

What do you mean they don’t do much for air circulation?

You are probably the pussy that can’t sleep in your house if the air is lower than 76

I'm guessing you have it running the opposite direction where air would circulate up instead of down. Little switch on the fan base.

To hell with you and your horrible opinion. Ceiling fans make rooms so much more comfortable than constantly running the fan of the AC unit

They really don't do much for air circulation, especially in the kitchen. Also, I can't stand clutter, so they take up unnecessary space.

I took 2 down and replacing them with recessed and track lights. I keep a fan in the kitchen, which is much more effective anyway. Now the rooms look more spacious.

What kind of drugs are you on?

I've never seen a ceiling fan in a kitchen

I have seen it a few times. My Aunt had one in her kitchen. More common in older houses with big open kitchens

My parents have a ceiling fan in their kitchen. it's a 100 year old farm house and the fan sort of combats the heat from all the windows.

What 3 idiots upvoted this thread? Do you have a cheap old ceiling fan or something? I can't sleep without a ceiling fan. At night, in my room, there is a big difference between the fan being on and off.

WTF are you talking about?

Also I don't like stagnant air.

Circulates air, but a ceiling fan actually draws energy (heat,) in from the outside. Not efficient at all, just neat to have.

Are we talking about the same kind of ceiling fan?

An attic fan does that.

My parent had an attic fan and it circulated the air but there was nothing cool about it.

Ceiling fans circulates the cool AC air within your home thus not needing to run the AC at a lower temp.
