I actually sent this post to a buddy of mine and he says it happens often and you should never send you wife to one of these.
Only this thread was two weeks after my wife gave me prof pics for Christmas.

I know who IS getting screwed.. Whoever buys their bras & underwear. $195 for a bra? What does the average, everyday bra cost?

Why don't you just go with your wife to these things?

I'd imagine it happens... but, since most are engaged or married, it probably doesn't happen as often as glamour/modelmayhem models and their photographers

If imagine there are attractive persons who do this, but font post the pictures on the internet. Shocking, I know.

Women get fricked at these regularly.
You have to understand the female mind. They are all excited about the attention. They are about to get married and are still in their bachelorette moods when these are typically taken (in the weeks before the wedding).

Sounds like you're not understanding the male mind and how it likes to exaggerate things.

Maybe I'm off base here, but it seems like the photographers that take these types of pictures are either women or really over-the-top gay men.

Many of those type of photography studios I've seen were just women photographer. If I ever decide to do something like that.....the photographer would have to be female for me to feel remotely comfortable.
Seems like a lot of money to pay for something that will likely sit in a closet somewhere. I think it's one of those things the woman says is for her man but it's really about her wanting to have nice photos of herself to feel sexier, prettier, and younger.

You aren't wrong.
I sourced that comment so people would know to take it with a grain of salt.

As a photographer and having done a couple boudoir sessions, I can tell you this, there is nothing sensual, sexy, and hot about the shoot. It is hard WORK.
The photographer and client (and makeup artist, etc) are way too busy trying to get the pose, correct lighting, and angles to even think about this being sexy.
It's not like you are taking nude shots of some skank with your cell phone before banging her.

Its the OT, whatever the stereotype is...is fact here.

Funny thing is, when I did my first boudoir shoot, my wife was going to come with me to help (hair, makeup, etc). At the last second we lost our babysitter so she couldn't go.
As I was walking out the door she tells me, "Have fun, don't frick her!"
