False. That’s a myth. My cholesterol is better than it’s ever been. Animal fats are healthier for you.

I lost 80 pounds on keto in 2016 in about six months on Keto without any gym time. I went from 235 to 155 and donated all my fat clothes. Since then, I have never gone above 175. I was on the border for HBP meds before, and not my GP uses me as an example for how Keto helps. Same with cholesterol. I was in Keto for about a year, and then I went back to just eating better and watching what I eat. If I hit 170, I go back on Keto or spend more time working out. Losing the weight helped me find my way to the gym.
It can be a pain tracking your macros in Keto, but if you can learn to eat the same think during the weight loss phase, it becomes easier once you know how much your meal choices will affect your micros.
I would highly recommend it.

I've had success with keto. I bought the test strips on Amazon and once I my body was in ketosis I started losing almost 2lbs/day. Daily weight loss tapered down but overall I lost 30 lbs in 2 months. I highly recommend getting the test strips and using the keto app to keep track of things. The app has a large database of common foods so it makes things easy to track. For example you can type "manda sausage" in the search bar and it's in the database. Just enter how many ounces and it tallies all the nutritional info throughout the day. The app made it easy to keep track of.

I’ve been doing Carnivore-ish for a little over a week, I do feel a lot better. Was hard to cut out veggies so I just ended up having them for sides. I’ll tell you this, my shits stink redonkalis compared to before. Excited to continue it.

I’ve been on the Carnivore for right at 30 days and I feel so much better. I’m down 12lbs. I think the diet is really easy - I just eat meat and eggs. Never have to count calories.

I never did it, but half the people I know seems like they tried it. Got to be thousands on this board who have done it.

There are people who will have an initial uptick in cholesterol levels, but they will level out and go down after 2-3 months.

You can think of them as baseline establishers. You will figure out how good you are supposed to feel. Then incorporate foods back in one at a time to test for negative affects. Whole30 is another.

I had the complete opposite experience when I started carnivore, I didn't shite at all for the first 5 days when I started and then my bowel movements were much less severe after that.

Love it and I've never felt as good. I will say supplement some fiber, potassium and vitamin c because you will not get enough of that on this diet

Stick to meat and veggies and stay away from sugar/grains/carbs.

As soon as you stop those you gain the weight right back within a week or two. Only way to do it is calorie deficit.

keto works wonders for me. i do it after every football season for a couple months, but have had better lasting results when i've done it for 3 months or more.
stick to it for 3+ months and it seems to do wonders for the metabolism/liver long term.
also easy to go into a caloric deficit with it because the fat is filling and will sustain you as you get accustomed to the diet. don't cheat at all. find some high fatty sausage and fill in the rest of the protein with cheese and eggs. eggs aren't keto, but they're easy to mix in the same meal with higher fat content foods. it's a really easy diet to do. just gotta give yourself some time acclimate.
don't go over 5% carbs and stay at 70%+ fat. protein 4 calories, carb 4 calories and fat 9 calories per gram.
you can lose the same amount of weight eating w/e within the same calorie count, but the fat content in keto makes it a lot easier to just eat once a day.
try fasting for 3 - 7 days to start and you'll already be burning glycogen instead of glucose when you start the diet. a good mct oil and coffee can tide you over during the day.

Just listen to your body and be healthy at any size. Don’t listen to the fat shamers

Dudes around here will eat like 30 bucks worth of meat a day instead of keeping their mouth shut for free

I tried Keto. It worked but I gained all the weight back when I ate carbs again.
Better to make lifestyle changes you can stick with forever. I lost 75 pounds and have kept it off by making lifestyle changes that I can live with forever and leaving changes I can’t live with alone.
I stared slowly changing just a few things and then when my weight loss plateaued I added something else.
I started with walking 4 or 5 days a week. Started doing 2.5 miles, then 3, then 3.5, and now I do 3.75 miles in 50 minutes, and replacing my calorie heavy lunch with a salad.
I pre make my lunch salads on Sunday and leave them at work during the week.
Just doing these two things took about 35 pounds off the first year.
Then I made other changes like: no fast food breakfast, which eventually turned into no breakfast at all, then I cut down alcohol from a couple of times a week to a couple of times a year.
I’m 6’3 and went from 300 to 225. I feel so much better, and people treat me better.
These were not quick changes and it took several year to lose the weight and I’d like to continue to lose 5 pounds a year, but after years of diets I couldn’t stick to I found slowly making lifestyle changes I can live with forever has been successful for me.

It's awesome. Once you get a grasp on carbs and sugars, your life will change forever.
It's amazing how we've been lied to and blinded into eating complete shite our whole lives!
Just do it and check back in a month. It's easier than you think
