Insert PI Attorney Firm Nme "Got me $400,000!"

Approaching 100% of commercials on my morning TV.

This is heartwarming to see such prosperity creation for all society stakeholders...no one enriching themselves!

Need more PI Attorney / advertising. Lotto-like! Sniffle, sniffle. Dust in air.

I mean some peoples careers are to go into a business and fall down.

Or to purposefully wreck with an 18-wheeler.

Landry ran on fighting this, he got elected.. Some of the big law firms took him to a hunting camp in Texas for the weekend and all of a sudden he had no interest in fighting this.

A small town Louisiana trial lawyer reforming torts, lol. The fact that so many people fell for that explains why Louisiana is so poor and low performing.

It's definitely one of the reasons. This is one of the reasons I picked Texas to start a business over Louisiana.

In short, Texas has a more positive business climate, while Louisiana is often viewed as hostile to business and industry.
It’s not just business… it’s the attitude in general. In Louisiana the answer was always “no”. “We can’t do that.” When I moved to Texas, the answer is always yes. “Yes it can be done.”

It’s a night and day difference.

Sheep continue to get fooled by the insurance industry and the political ticks that it supports.

If Louisianans wants this shite to end, they have to stop reelecting the same corrupt politicians that put us here. But tribalism today is so powerful that they'll just keep electing the good ol boys and blaming the other side, even though the other side hasn't had political power since the Civil Rights era.

If y'all want it to stop, try something else. These people take all the resources for themselves and give the people nothing. But somehow people keep voting for more of it, bankrupting themselves in the process.

Not going to happen. Most of the smarter people who could elect a competent governor are already gone.

Save your time and your family's quality of life and just leave for your own sake.

Louisiana will elect the same politicians again next cycle under "what else are we supposed to do" reasoning.

Your vote should be tied to your name so you can be publicly shamed.

So the shitty roads and abysmal schools have nothing to do with Louisiana’s economy. Do you think that if we get rid of trial lawyers over night that in a few years Louisiana will be a thriving state?!?

Everyone wants tort reform until they are hurt. Hell Greg Abbott has received millions for his injury but then passed damages cap so if the same things happens now, you only get a fraction.

That’s a load of bull. There is no bigger judicial hellhole in the south than Harris county Texas.

When some of the richest people in the State are personal injury attorneys we have a problem.

It’s $500K in Louisiana and was enacted specifically for this reason. It was recognized in the 1970’s that without caps on damages we’d have no physicians at all practicing in the state.

Okay wait. I don't think I'm stupid, but how the frick is that legal in any way? Can someone please explain that to me like I'm Oweo?

The state has a natural resources damages claim due to the extensive network of abandoned navigation and pipeline canals cut through Louisiana's marshland. Similar to when the state sued BP after Deepwater Horizon.

You can argue about the level of impact caused by erosion from the canals, but simply comparing historic aerial photos to current ones shows they are a contributing factor.
