Yeah being ignorant of the law is not the issue…
Following laws are just for white people…
If you had only read one more post before replying.

Oh I genuinely didn't know the fireworks were against the law. That makes sense

I always laugh at the people who can’t tell the difference between fireworks and gun shots.

Sugar Land sounds like Fallujah right now
In Cross Creek (Fulshear/Katy), they mostly just walked around carrying candles to each other's houses in the subdivision.

Oh no! Not fireworks!

Eh, I generally believe that if you're foreign born and wish to move to America and live and thrive, you should assimilate and embrace American culture and traditions wholeheartedly
But Diwali is relatively harmless and is usually celebrated with a pretty great party with lots of community, food, music, dancing, and drinks - I'd have a hard time not joining in if one of these throwdowns was happening in my neighborhood.
They're Hindu, not the "other guys"

I thought we were under a “burn ban”

Maybe this will be the push needed to start outlawing fireworks entirely everywhere.
God that would be amazing.

sounds like you’d be fun at a party.

Where are these rednecks in Frisco?
I highly doubt there are many living within the city limits of Frisco, unless there is any rural farmland left within the city limits.

Sounds like I'm not stupid enough to go to a party where most of the people's idea of a good time is lighting shite on fire.

It's an Indian thing. I had to look up Diwali.
Speaking of Indians, I was up in the Smoky Mountains this past weekend, between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, and half of India must have been up there taking pictures. I suppose there's a connection out there somewhere.
Not that it was a bad thing, but it was more than just a little noticeable.

You sound miserable. At least they aren’t shooting each other over sneakers and slang

Why is that the alternative?
How about don't annoy other people with loud noises, regardless of where the loud noise is coming from.

My whole life, have never seen or heard the word Diwali until this week.
