I would recommend it for Animal Kingdom. I saw the entire park and went on every ride in like 4 hours.
Also, if you go to Universal Studios, you won't spend more than a few hours there. Park hopper for that, too.

Get it. Well worth it bc you'll probably like one park more than the others. Animal kingdom is like a big zoo and closes early. Magic kingdom you need multiple days, Hollywood studios is smaller but the attractions are longer and geared toward older kids and Epcot is really interesting if you are into science and history.

No we don't get park hopper anymore.
Plan which park to go to based on extra magic hour schedule.
Go to downtown disney the night you go to animal kingdom.

It depends on your park touring plan and by no means do you have to have it to enjoy yourself.
If you're trying to cut costs, it's an easy way to save.
I prefer park hopping every day but you do lose park time with transportation. That's not a big deal if you wisely take afternoon resort breaks anyway.
Carefully review daily park times and activities. Mesh that with what restaurants you want to eat in and coordinate it all with how your group best operates. Then decide if you need them.

I keep hearing this, but we were able to do everything we wanted in this park in one day. Maybe it was just slow that day. If you have kids, it will probably be their favorite park and they will want to spend more time there though.

Yeah but certain days magic kingdom open from 9an until 2an.
Believe me while the fireworks show is happening and then from 11pm until 2am it is literally walk to the front of line and get on any ride in less than 5 minutes.

We usually stay in the Boardwalk Villas and hit up Epcot almost every night, so park hopper is a must for us.
Sorry for the downvote, fat thumbs.

Similar situation in that we usually stay at the Dolphin Resort. Go to Epic all the time for food and drinks.

Since Animal Kingdom is the worst, just save it for a day when everyone is exhausted. Leave at 5 and go to a nice family dinner later.
If you want to stay active from 8am to 1am, then get the hopper.

Park Hopper, if you run into a crowd you can change plans and go to a different park. Also needed if you are eating in a different park. This past year, we were in a magic kingdom and needed a drink with all the kids around so we went over to disney studios and grabbed a much needed drink.

park hopper is worth it...Animal Kingdom closes fairly early and we always use that day to get in some "magic hours" at the MK...Sometimes we do it on Epcot day as well...since the monorail runs between the two...makes it easy...get the hopper

Nope. We originally had the same idea, but got the hopper because one of our sit down character meals was in Epcot and we started in Magic Kingdom. Out of the four days we were there, we ended up hopping three of those days.

I've only ever done hoppers or annual passes. I don't like staying at the same park for an entire day.

I think its worth it, many of the parks close early and its nice to be able to jump to another park.

When we go, we get there early, ride what we can and use all our fast passes. Then at 2pm or so, we head back to the hotel to let the kids swim. Then we go back to the parks at like 6pm-closing.

We always get them. They are especially useful if you want to eat at 2 different places at Epcot.
Huh?

We just got back and it is worth it. Also as soon as you get to the parks if you plan on using fast passes for anything get it done early. A lot of stuff will sell out throughout the day. We would plan our day around that and it worked out great.
Check this website out it gives you the best days and times to go to certain parks...pretty accurate if I do say so myself.

Ehhhh, depends on when he goes. If it's after July 8, I bet he spends a LOT more time in Universal Studios once the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Expansion opens. BUT, he would need a two-park pass there if he wanted to ride the Hogwart's Express train from Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure.

Do you want to look like one of those foreigners with the funny hats wandering around mumbling to themselves, overwhelmed and clearly lost? Get the park hopper. Don't be a noob or at least try to act like you've done this before.
