Who in the frick wants to go to Disney World and wear a mask at all times while in the park in the 100 degree heat?
It's almost worth it only because they're operating at 30% occupancy and it looks like a ghost town.

We still have a late September trip planned. Hoping the crowds stay low.

So, I've talked about this before on here, buy my wife works for a consulting firm that Disney uses routinely. She was there last week for the opening to help with the healthcare provider that is taking the temperature screenings before you enter. She said the first week when it was just vacation club and pass holders was really dead but when it opened to the general public later on in the week it got kinda crowded. Not Disney crowded but way more people than she expected. Everyone complied with the mask policy and but she said no one seemed to care about the social distancing part.
My family and I love Disney and go often but there is no way in hell I'd go anywhere near that place anytime soon.

I won’t be surprised the mask rule is still in effect when we go next fall.
I’d rather it isn’t, but if it is, oh well. It’s a place the whole family loves.
If you don’t like it, don’t go. Shorter ride times for me

We (family of 7 all over 22 yrs. old) to Universal Studios, Isles of Adventure Disney World, and Busch Gardens July 11th-18th (Trip was planned months before Covid). Walked on every ride at every park and rode each ride multiple times. We were able to eat and drink while walking because the new policy was not in effect the first week. Honestly, now is the best time to go! We were so spoiled not having to wait in any lines.

Imagine thinking that this is what people who go to Disney think about. People have been walking and eating/drinking at theme parks since theme parks became a thing. I seriously doubt more than a handful were actually trying to skirt the mask policy when they were doing this.
You’re out of your mind if you don’t think plenty of people were buying the cheapest snack they could find and just holding it in their hand as they walked around the park so that they didn’t have to wear a mask.

When we were there, no one had their mask completely off. You would lower your mask to drink or eat.
Not going to lie, I did take more sips of water than I usually do, LOL.

I refuse to go to Disney until I get 100% the full experience. No masks, the kids can meet characters, parades are running and the GD fireworks are back.

Been to disney in July During normal times and it was rough... going at this time even with the mask seems pretty dang good. On average under 20 min wait time simply means walking in and steadily making way to the ride much quicker than 20 min.. 10 min usually means walking in straight to the ride with maybe one stop... many of the rides are comfortable once inside or under cover anyway so the mask wouldn’t be bad.. From looking out of curiosity, there is many times you could just ride your favorite almost continuously with the low wait times..

This might clear out all the fats doublefisting turkey legs while they waddle through frontier land.

I was recently at universal studios and rode the new hagrid or whatever it's called roller coaster. My mask came off. As we were pulling back in I was attacked by nazi staff about not having it on. I basically said sorry, it's a roller coaster.
Then we went to other park. Rode the rock and roll rip or whatever. Put mask in mouth and bit down
fricking crazy

You have to stop to eat or drink. So you still can just not while on the move.

You underestimate the level of obsession some of those hardcore Disney fans have, most probably don't even have children with them right now

Some of these companies make the stupidest rules. Who the fuk wants to wear a mask in 100 degree weather chasing little Johnny all day long?

Even if that were true, I'm sure it was impromptu as people grew tired of breathing through a mask in the scorching heat of central Florida. I highly doubt mom and dad sat around their table in Ohio, looking at a map of the Magic Kingdom, and strategically planned out how they were going to get around Disney's mask loophole.

Thankfully my kids are grown now. Wasn't fun back then either.

Maybe we’ve been to different Disneys.
Also, I feel like the Vinn Diagram of people who are going to Disney right now and people who are opposed to masks is more or less a single circle. Zero doubt in my mind that a handful of people were just carrying something in their hands so they could lower/remove the mask. And I’m sure that handful grew until they ruined it for the rest of the park goers.
