Disney is currently engaged in a pretty embarrassing proxy fight. Activist-investor Nelson Peltz's Trian Group bought $3.5B in stock and wants 2 board seats so he can bring the mouse house back to reality.

I'm not sure how much traction he's getting, but if the barrage of ads you see from Disney about whom to vote for, it's clearly got them rattled.

This is just more of a reason why people have had enough of their bullshite.

honestly seems low for a VP position

wonder what the full comp package looks like

That is probably base salary. Add med. ins. cost, 401K match, annual bonus target (not to mention probable access to parks for family) and you're well above a 500K a year total compensation package. This does not include stock options etc

You seem really upset that everyone thinks DEI is a joke. Why is that?

This. I used to be a annual pass holder and don't subscribe to any of their streaming services or watch their movies. Sucks but I do watch ESPN during football season with YouTube tv. Only reason is I love my LSU tigers.

DEI isn't a real job. The fricking guy that drives the boat across the lake to magic Kingdom makes more than that. But at least he actually contributes to the earnings of the company unlike anyone in DEI, or HR for that matter.

no argument here

but still seems low for a VP position

the bonus and incentive package is probably legit though

There’s definitely a bonus and yearly stock grants on top of that salary.

What is the point of a DEI VP other than to virtue signal that your company is down with the struggle?

Seriously, do you really need someone in charge of telling everyone that the company hires too many people based on their skill level, education and character? Do you need to be reminded daily that "white man bad?"

It is a complete waste of money, and the loss of stock value in so many companies who have gone full retard (AKA woke) should be a wake up call to corporate leaders the world over, but apparently we still haven't reached total clown world yet.

And it was not too long ago that many people on this website were worried that students majoring in gender studies would not be able to find employment.

Are white people included in the diversity classification? It seems like that would be equitable.
