McDonald's fried cherry pies - so hot that they would peal the skin off of the roof of your mouth if you ate them too quickly.
The old atomic fireballs that were super hot. It was a challenge to put two of them in your mouth at the same time and not spit them out.
Fanta had a red cream soda that was great.
Dairy Queen's dude sandwich (steak sandwich).
There was a Sears in Pasadena, Texas that had a candy, popcorn, and roasted nuts bar inside the store. Always loved the smell of popcorn and roasted cashews. Also, the assorted sours were so flavorful and fresh (cherry, orange, lemon, grape, watermelon). You can't find good sours anymore at candy stores (everything seems to be made in Mexico).

LOVED the nut and candy bar at Sears. I can still smell it in my head and loved the 1 out of 20 times I begged my mom for candy she would say yes and I'd get that little waxed pouch filled with a scoop of chocolate peanuts that had a flat side where they poured the chocolate over them and it cooled.
Man those were good chocolate peanut.

I was so poor those toothpicks dipped in cinnamon counted as a special treat
We used to ride our bikes to the "new" strip mall on the corner of the neighborhood where there was an original Walgreen's. For way less than a dollar we could get a box of toothpicks and a small vial of cinnamon oil, along with either a box of strike anywhere wooden matches or a disposable lighter when they were on sale.
Then we'd ride our bikes into the last few remaining trees separating the neighborhood from the commercially zoned area where we'd pour the oil over the toothpicks and smoke cigarettes while waiting for the toothpicks to absorb the oil. 1 trip to the store like that would last us about 3 weeks and cost about 50 cents or less. (we got our cigarettes from a vending machine for 35 cents a pack, the machine was in the garage bay of the fire station. coulda saved a nickel a pack by going to the convenience store but didn't have to deal with teen clerks)
