What's become of this sport? Are there still courses available? What locations in the BR area? Is it being considered for the Summer Olympics?

This isn't the proper way to conduct a Q&A, we're supposed to ask you the questions.

Why would you play golf if it makes you miserable? It makes me happy regardless of how shitty I play.

The sport has grown significantly in the last couple of decades. There are thousands of course worldwide, and several dozen in LA. The major tournaments are now streamed live on the internet and top pros can actually make a decent living. It ain't Peyton Manning money, but it's not bad for "Frisbee golf."
The best course in the BR area is IMO, the professionally designed Scotlandville course. It has turf tee pads and challenging par 4's and 5's.
Disc Golf Course Review is the best resource for finding good courses.
But the UDisc app is the best tool for finding the ones nearest you at any given time.

i like Greenwood park up in Baker now that they've redone it. Got burned out on Highland. There's also a few baskets set up at Hooper RD. PARK ACROSS FROM THE AIRPORT

It's at Scotlandville Parkway across from airport. Those are part of the 18 hole (or basket) course. Highland course to be renovated soon.

Highland road park was one of the best I ever played on. Then Katrina, Rita, and Gustav all affected it and it isn't near as good as it used to be. It's such a shame.

This is the one I was talking about. It's listed as BR, but it's in the Scotlandville/Baker area.
