I play regularly at highland. Average a 60 but have been shooting 65's lately.

I agree Highland was better preKatrina but it is still fun to play.

DG>Stick Golf bc you can let your dog off leash and run around when there aren't many ppl in the park.

I haven't played at Highland in over a decade but remember it being a nice course. Laffy has a few good courses also, including Acadiana Park that people travel from other states to play (at least a few that I've met).

Another good thing about disc golf is that it's generally free and you can play much quicker than golf. While I prefer golf, it's usually $50-100 and 5 hours of your time to play while disc golf is free and can be played in an hour if you want.

Yeah, I know. Sadly, a lot of DG courses are at sketchy parks. I've lost count of all the used rubbers and little crack ziplocks I've seen in parks I've been to.

But, I've found that the influx of peaceful white guys chases off the riff raff to an extent. Crack whores don't want to give beejes with a bunch of people throwing Frisbees around them.

Isn't there a small 9 hole course at Broadmoor Methodist Church?

I've been several times. Because of the things on the borders, it gets almost no cross traffic. I've seen much more scary stuff at the Lafayette courses.
